Children and Young People Reference Group
Brief Description/Aims of the Group:
The group is made up of young poeple from across County Durham who meet to discuss what is important to children and young people, what services they want, like and what they think should be improved.
The Children and Young People's plan in County Durham is developed, implemented and monitored by the Children's Services Department and sets out what the council will do and provide for children and young people over a three year period.
The group is currently are now working with officers from County hall, looking at the identified priorities and how these can form the plan.
Location of work:
Meetings take place in community venuw and at times to suit the group, please get in touch if you would like to join the group.

Meeting times and days vary and are arranged by the group, please contact Michelle for the details of the next meeting.
Work to Date:
The priorities for the plan have now been set and agreed. The group are looking at setting actions - things they wold like the council to do so that the outcomes young peole want to see can be acheived. We are currently asking for input from young peole across the county - please visit our facebook paege to have your say.
